I was blessed to receive a call two weeks ago that the talented actress Angela Bassett wanted to have her makeup done by me while she was in New Orleans hosting an event. The Moth and USA Networks held an event at Generation Hall last night; a mini storytelling tour...New York, Chicago, Denver and Seattle.
I was also asked to do makeup & hair on Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy of Covert Affairs. I worked with Sendhil earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival inside the EW/ L'OREAL Paris lounge. Because of the conflict of schedule I was only able to work with Angela only.
Becuase it was an intimate setting I wanted to keep the makeup look soft, and natural, but play up Angela flawless skin tone. So I used a lot of brown, bronze, and gold color paletttes.
Below are colors and products that I selected for Angela;
*Smashbox Bronzig Foundation Primer
*Make Up For Ever HD Foundation #178
*MAC SkinFinish in Medium Deep
*MAC SkinFinish in Dark
*MAC SkinFinish in Deep Dark
*Smashox Brow Tech in Brunette
*L'OREAL HIP eyeshadow in forgiving #236-brown
*MAC Eyeshadow in Amber Lights
*L'OREAL HIP Cream eyeliner in black-on the top
*L'OREAL Carbon Black Pencil Perfect-on the botton
